At the Brink of War: A Better Future
Started by FrostFallenDream

Late into the night, sounds of angered scratching fills the air of the Scholar's Slumber. At one of the desks at the very top of the library, June mumbles to herself, hurrying to make enough letters to send out through the various lands of Templehelm. There wasn't any time to waste if she wanted to ensure she was ready for the inevitable conflict ahead.

To my friends and allies of Dawn's Reverie:

I am unaware if the drivel of Grastagg's Queen has reached you, but in the chance it hasnt, I write to inform you that all attempts at peace have failed. The Emeraldite response has been made clear. Rather then take responsibility for their crimes, they seek only to push Dawn's Reverie to it's breaking point. They fling accusations at both myself and my people that lead to our near genocide in the years following the world's shattering. They show no remorse for their actions, past or present, and as such, I feel there is no other way to answer then by moving forward with what we have discussed over the past weeks. Please, I ask that we arrange a time to speak before war is to break, to ensure we're on the same page as we fight for Templehelm's future. With your support, I truly believe we can carve ourselves a better world then the one of decay the Emeraldite Nobles are insistent must remain with their continued rule.

Warm Regards, June Nieroi,  Lady of Dawn's Reverie

Reading the messages over, June lets out a disappointed sigh, slipping each one into an envelop and sending them off toward their intended destinations. She had known the Emeraldites wouldnt pull their punches, but something about seeing their accusations...it took her back to a time much too recent for her liking. The prejudice she and her fellow Ephalens faced..... a shiver ran down her spine at the thought. She couldnt allow it to flourish again, not for as long as she continued to exist. The fight against Jocelyn would simply be the next step on the path to the perfect world she so dreamed of.

(If June has talked with your character over the past weeks about the Emeraldite situation, you can guarantee she has sent you the letter above ^-^ .)
